9. Training methods and learning experiences

The training is organized as a combination of learning and practical training. Trainees will work with both outpatients and inpatients, in both regular patients and critical care units, under close supervision of the training supervisors. The learning of basic and specialized knowledge aims to enable the trainee to plan the treatment of thoracic cancer patients and other thoracic conditions, emphasizing safe surgery and standard of care following international guidelines. The trainee will gain knowledge in multidisciplinary care, maintaining JCI standards, as well as expertise in new thoracic surgery technologies, including Robotic assisted Thoracic surgery, Uniportal VATS, Electromagnetic navigation bronchoscopy, Rigid bronchoscopy, Endobronchial ultrasound, and Surgical stabilization of rib fracture.

Trainees must publish at least one research paper related to thoracic surgical oncology or advanced thoracic surgery before completing the program.

  • Salary of 60,000 THB and duty allowances at CCU
